Welcome to my blog! My name is Brittany. I am a wife and mom of soon-to-be 3. I was raised in a christian home influenced by the patriarchal stay-at-home-daughters movement, and attended KJV only, independent, fundamental baptist churches all my life. One of those churches was very legalistic and also the one I attend in what I consider to be the crucial years of my life. I will talk about some of struggles I faced growing up in this environment and some of the damage it caused.
I lived most of my life numb and just following rules. I had a very bad view of God. I will talk about my journey to finding truth and exposing some of the lies I had believed. I hope that my journey and the things that I share with you will be an encouragement and most importantly, remind you that you are not alone in this difficult life. If you are reading my blog with a critical eye, I hope that you at the very least will consider the things I share here and understand the reason I write this. This is my journey and I want to encourage others on theirs.
